Objectives

  • Understanding the dimensions of the phenomenon of aging according to multiple perspectives
  • Reflecting on the challenges faced by the formal and informal caregivers of the elderly, as well as specialized institutions to meet the needs of the elderly
  • Acquiring skills to identify, in each specific situation, values, rights and responsibilities, in order to take decisions inscribed in a solid ethical framework
  • Developing skills in the field of work and group dynamics directed to the elderly
  • To know the most common of elderly diseases, the mental processes and psychopathology, as well as the methodologies to intervene in preventing accidents, diseases and injuries of the limitations of aging
  • Designing, implementing and evaluating projects to improve the quality of services to the elderly
  • To demonstrate ability to undertake research and research-action in a creative and independent way in the field of social gerontology

International Students:

Application Fee: 50 Euros**

Registration Fee and School Insurance: 175 Euros

Note: The  tuition of this course can be paid in 10 installments, being the first at the time of registration and the remaining in the months of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May and June.
