ESEC participation in BIP (Blended Intensive Program), Cracóvia

The School of Education and Communication of the University of Algarve (ESEC_UAlg) participated, from 5 to 9 May 2025, in activities held at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, Poland. These included a Blended Intensive Programme entitled Utilising New Media for Intercultural Communication and the 6th International Conference Media for Man: Information Literacy Mindset. The Presidents of the Conference Committee were Dr Piotr Drag and Dr hab. Katarzyna Drag, Prof. UPJPII.

The University of Algarve was represented at this international event by Rosana Durão, Deputy Director of the School and the UAlg coordinator of the aforementioned international project, who delivered a presentation entitled The SharkTask Effect: Meaningful Communication Tasks. She was accompanied by Carolina Sousa and Sofia Rocha, first-year students of the Master’s Degree in English Teaching for the First Cycle of Basic Education.

The project also includes Carolina de Sousa, an Invited Coordinating at University of Algarve.
